“ His landscapes and portraits of undoubted skill and fascination show how an old genre can be treated in an absolutely new manner.
Landscapes, big protagonists of his painting, are dealt with in a new fashion.
His new innovative style called ‘ New Traditional Art’ proclaims a greater awareness of the power of Nature and a renewed ability to express the different perceptions of a place and weather. The rain, the wind and the snow become the real protagonists of these paintings, in which the modern anecdotal aspects have been left out and substituted by concrete realism, where his nature arouses our emotions instead. “
The Exhibition was opened by Pete Wishart. MP (The Scottish Spokesperson – representing the Scottish Government in Art, Media, Culture and International Development at the Houses of Parliament, Westminster, London) .
Also at the exhibition demonstrating portrait painting – Charles completed the portrait of Italian model Dajana Celsi, watched daily by the many visitors during public opening times.
