Portraits

The basis of his portraits, like in the landscape painting is the search for beauty intended as a foundation and, at the same time, as a goal of every art expression. Portrait painting is based on social representation and interaction. It is based upon the honest exchange between the artist and the model, on the “recreation “ of behaviours and “attitudes” which are spontaneously understood by both. Charles Harris loves his role as a portrait painter and, maybe because of this, his portraits seem extraordinary in what they encompass and in their diversity.
