Frequently Asked Questions…

Can you ship long distance?
Yes. We are extremely careful with your pictures in shipping. We ship world-wide using many world-class carriers and all paintings or drawings are insured from the time they leave our door until they reach your own address.
What currencies do you accept for payment? All work by Charles is quoted in Pounds Sterling. You may use this Currency Converter (opens in new window) to give you an approximation of the exchange of funds. Payment can be made by Dollars, MasterCard, Visa, American Express and International Bank Wire Transfers.
Can Charles complete a painting for me e.g. a portrait or a landscape of my choice in a location of my choosing? Yes. Charles’ agent or staff would be happy to arrange almost any commissioned work for you (see ‘Techniques’ section).
Can I receive specific visual examples relating to my request? Yes. As far as we are able to comply. eg. a client recently asked for various examples of Charles’ paintings of trees prior to his purchase.
Does Charles work from photographs? No. We believe photographs are a mistake, as you would only end up with a copy of your own photograph. Our advice is either buy an enlargement or commission a real painting by Charles that has all the values and virtues of Great Art (see ‘Techniques’ section).
Can a portrait be completed at my convenience and will it involve many sittings? To the great surprise and pleasure of his clients, Charles has original novel ways of dealing with most practical problems in painting, especially those dealing with sittings in portraiture, or the choice of difficult landscape locations.
Do you provide a separate framing service? No. All paintings, pastels and drawings are sold complete with period gold frames (see ‘Paintings’ section for example).
Do you have a Returns Policy? Yes. We have a Returns Policy. Total customer satisfaction is our aim.
